We may also use AI tools (such as the TLC LIVE AI Tutor) to support learning and administration, but automated decisions will never replace human judgement in matters affecting students.
We record all lessons for safeguarding and quality assurance. These recordings are not shared for playback with students, parents, or tutors. However, you have the right to request access to your personal data within a recording under data protection law. In such cases, TLC LIVE may provide a copy or transcript, subject to safeguarding considerations and the protection of other individuals’ rights.
International Transfers
Some HR, IT, and administrative services may involve transferring data outside the UK. Where data is transferred to the USA, this is safeguarded under the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (DPF).
Data Security
We apply technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against accidental loss, unauthorised access, alteration, or disclosure.
Data Retention
We only keep personal data for as long as necessary. Key periods include:
- Employee records: up to 6 years after employment ends.
- Student lesson data: 2 years after last booking (name retained for 7 years).
- Carer details: deleted at end of booking.
- Finance records: 6 years.
