Smarter Summer

What is Smarter Summer?

Smarter Summer is a series of short, focused courses run by TLC LIVE Online Tutoring during the school summer holidays, designed to help students aged 6-16 stay on top of their learning and prepare with confidence for the new academic year in September. Each course includes five online lessons in either Maths, English, or Science—with all five sessions focusing on a single subject of your choice. Lessons run daily over the course of one week, with the option to choose between morning or afternoon slots to suit your schedule. Online summer tutoring courses are available every week for four weeks during the summer break, offering a flexible and effective way to keep young minds active, engaged, and ready for the term ahead.

Birchwood High School has been supported by TLC LIVE for over 15 years. We have been excited to be part of its evolution to online tutoring, which is now a key tool for any school. Whilst TLC LIVE’s delivery method may have changed, the core principle of having high quality, qualified teachers has not. This is the reason we continue to trust TLC LIVE to deliver to our students.

When the ‘Covid catch up’ became available TLC LIVE were our first point of call for adding value to our students, supporting our teachers and giving confidence to parents. Offering a flexible and quality service to supplement our own high-quality teaching.
