Maths and English

We are currently working with a year 11 student who has shown significant academic improvement since we started working with them when they were in year 9.

When referred, the pupil was working well below the expected age-related level, but now is in line with the expected age-related level for year 11.

Originally starting with one hour of Maths support per week, this was then increased to include an hour of English per week too.

The school reported that the pupil’s confidence has increased, and that the pupil wishes to continue on education post 16. He described the maths tuition as helpful, which was evidenced by his maths grade improving.
